Rejoicing at the Harvest
Why is food such an important part of this ministry? We need not look any further than scripture to answer that question.
“Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes or daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it.” James 2:15-16.
There is so much poverty and so much malnutrition in Honduras and God’s word tells us that our faith is dead unless we are doing something to alleviate the pain and suffering. We strive to bring the gospel. For people to hear the good news of Christ is immensely important….it is equally important for people live long enough that they hear it.
The purpose of Finca Milagro was birthed out that need to provide spiritual and physical nourishment in a holistic approach. Through our efforts we are able to provide revenue for ministry and food for the hungry. By providing food for local churches and helping them to expand their feeding programs we are able to reach the most vulnerable in some of the poorest areas of Honduras. We can help provide a nutritious meal, share a gospel message and just be the love of Christ.
