"If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday."
Isaiah 58:10
God’s calling in our life is to reach the lost through the education and development of sustainable farming. The latest news is that our directors already living in San Pedro Sula, Honduras have acquired a 35-acre piece of property in Siguatepeque to produce food and help support the ministries they have already established. And we will get a chance to utilize all that we have learned over the last three years to help build and oversee the day to day operations once we get there!
The idea looks something like this….
The idea looks something like this….
- Food grown on this farm will be sent to San Pedro Sula to help support the feeding programs where over 1,500 kids are already being nourished every week.
- There are plans to have “farm camps” established where orphaned and needy children can come and learn more about God and His creation.
- Seven acres has been set aside and is already under way to produce and sell coffee to help cover the day to day operation costs of the farm.
- Having a full scale production farm also means job creation for locals!
- There will be opportunities for troubled youth to come and learn a trade away from the violence of the inner cities.
- And the possibilities are endless!
